Our mission is to provide information for students who are lifelong learners by offering a contemporary library service. Unley High School Library provides members of the school community with a variety of resources, services and facilities. Our goal is to ensure that students graduate as competent, critical and ethical users of ideas and information.
We provide access to an extensive print and digital collection which caters for a range of student interests. Our print collection consists of fiction books and non-fiction resources, graphic novels and magazines. Currently, we are developing a French collection.
These resources support the Australian Curriculum and are enhanced by access to online databases including Wheelers eBooks and Audio Books, ClickView Online, EBSCO Host, Online Reference generator and Weblinks. Our digital collection is readily available on any device 24/7 via Single Sign On.
Library Staff assist students to grow as individual and collaborative learners. We offer one-to-one advice, orientation sessions and support in developing critical research skills by assisting to locate reputable information.
A variety of learning environments facilitate individual and collaborative learning with access to ICT in the library and Maths tuition in the adjoining Learning Centre. Students are encouraged to participate in the Premier?s Reading Challenge and Book Week activities.
Students are welcome to visit the Library during their non-instructional time, recess and lunch and after school.
