Come and Try Rowing Sessions
During November and December, the Unley High School Rowing Club will be running a series of Come and Try sessions for students who may wish to participate in rowing through the Health and Physical Education Rowing (class/curriculum) and/or an extracurricular sport through the Unley High School Rowing Club. These sessions allow students and their families to experience the sport and better understand rowing at Unley High School before committing further. Come and Try Sessions
Unley High School Rowing offers a number of Come and Try Sessions, please note the session times below.
Please note that attendance at these sessions is not required in order to participate in rowing as an extracurricular sport through the Unley High School Rowing Club.

The sessions are scheduled as follows:
Off-water Come and Try Session
Held at the Unley High School Fitness Centre (next to the main gym, accessed via gate 1) on Thursday 3 December 2025, 3:30pm – 5:00pm (following the Year 6 Transition Day).
On-water Come and Try Session
Held at the Torrens Boatshed (Located Here) at
· Tuesday 8 December 2026, 4:30pm – 6:30pm
· Thursday 10 December 2026, 4:30pm – 6:30pm

Applying for Health and Physical Education (HPE) Rowing – Year 7 in 2027 (Second Round)
Health and Physical Education (HPE) Rowing is a core-HPE alternative offered by Unley High School. Currently, the year 7 class has several vacancies open to any students who have been allocated a place at Unley High School for 2027. To fill these vacancies the School will complete an application process through August-December.
To apply for a second round place in Health and Physcial Education Rowing – Year 7 in 2027 please
- Complete the Health and Physical Education Rowing – Year 7 in 2027 (Second Round). Refer to the link sent via your enrolment offer or contact the Rowing Coordinator (dl.0797.rowing@schools.sa.edu.au)
- Sign up for the Off-water Come and Try Session (compulsory) and at least one of the On-water Come and Try Sessions on either Tuesday 8 or Thursday 10 December here. (Please note this is the same Come and Try Session link as above).
