Come and Try Rowing
During November and December, the Unley High School Rowing Club will be running a series of Come and Try sessions for students who may wish to participate in rowing through the Health and Physical Education Rowing Class (curriculum) and/or as an extracurricular sport through the Rowing Club. These sessions allow families to experience the sport and better understand rowing at Unley High School before committing further.
Please note that attendance at these sessions is not required in order to participate in rowing as an extracurricular activity.
On-water Come and Try sessions are held at the Torrens Boatshed (Located Here).
The sessions are scheduled as follows:
Off-water Come and Try
Held at the School’s Fitness Centre (Located Here) on Thursday 4 December 2025, 3:30pm – 5:00pm (following the Year 6 Transition Day).
On-water Come and Try
Held at the Torrens Boatshed (Located Here) at
- Tuesday 9 December 2025, 4:30pm – 6:30pm
- Thursday 11 December 2025, 4:30pm – 6:30pm
- Saturday 13 December 2025, 8:00am – 10:00am

Applying for Year 7 HPE Rowing in 2026 (second round)
Health and Physical Education (HPE) Rowing is a core HPE alternative offered by Unley High School. Currently, the year 7 class for 2026 has several vacancies open to any students who have been allocated a place at Unley High School for year 7 in 2026. To fill these vacancies the School will complete an application process from August to December 2025.
Before applying for a 2026 vacancy prospective families are asked to review the following HPE Rowing Information Booklet
