Year 7 2026 Information

During April and May, the Unley High School Rowing Program will be running a series of Come ‘n’ Try sessions for students who may wish to apply to Unley High School through the Special Interest Rowing Process.

Students who enter Unley High School through the Special Interest Rowing Process will participate in rowing through the Health and Physical Education Rowing Class (curriculum) as an extracurricular sport through the Rowing Club.

Come and Try Sessions

Unley High School Rowing is offering a variety of Come ‘n’ Try Sessions in April and May for Year 7 students in 2026 and their families to experience the sport and better understand Rowing at Unley High School before committing further.

On-water Come ‘n’ Try sessions are scheduled as follows

Held at the Torrens Boatshed (Located Here) at

  • Thursday 10 April, 2025 // 8:00 – 10:00am
  • Monday 21 April, 2025 // 9:00 – 11:00am
  • Sunday 27 April, 2025 // 9:00 – 11:00am
  • Tuesday 6 May, 2025 // 4:30 – 6:00pm

Applying for HPE Rowing 2026

Before applying for Special Interest Rowing in 2026 prospective families are asked to review the HPE Rowing Information Booklet.

To apply for a place in the Year 7 Health and Physical Education Rowing Class in 2026, please

  • Complete the online application form here.
  • Sign up for two or more of the Come ‘n’ Try sessions here.

If you are unable to attend two or more of the Come ‘n’ Try Sessions please contact the Rowing Manager via dl.0797.rowing@schools.sa.edu.au to discuss options.
