14 January 2022 – Staggered start to the 2022 School Year
Dear Parent/Caregiver
By now you will be aware of the staggered start to the 2022 school year as announced by the Premier late yesterday and today.
More details will be released during next week so I will be able to provide more information by next Friday. This will include the COVID protocols for students and teachers.
Term 1 start dates:
Monday 31 January & Tuesday 1 February – Teacher preparation days for online learning
Wednesday 2 February –
- Face to face learning for our Year 7, Year 8 and Year 12 students
- Online learning for our Years 9 to 11 students.
Students of ‘Essential Workers’ – We will ask parents to nominate students that will need to attend school on Monday 31 January & Tuesday 1 February late next week.
For Year 9 to 11 students, online learning will be the same process as 2020 and 2021 where teachers and students will follow the Daymap timetable and school work will be provided mainly via Google Classroom and Daymap while many teachers will also use Zoom for direct communication.
Student timetables will be available in Daymap in the week prior to school starting.
I will provide more information late next week to assist families prepare for the staggered start.
